Welcome to the official website of actress Denise Swain.
From her early days, Denise Swain seemed fated to act. Born in Omaha, Nebraska – home to both Johnny Carson and L. Frank Baum’s Wizard of Oz – as the daughter of a cinematographer, she first caught the acting bug in a high school production of Lil’ Abner. After living and traveling in such places as Kansas City, MO, Honolulu, Albuquerque, Washington, D.C., and Thailand (where she attended the International School of Bangkok), she caught that bug again when she moved to San Antonio, Texas.
Auditioning consistently and persistently, Denise learned from every “no”, until she landed her first major role in the interactive comedy Sanctimonius Spectre. From there, her career has taken her to stages from San Antonio to Seguin, from Boerne to Bulverde. Her roles have included memorable appearances in acclaimed productions of Steel Magnolias, Rumors, and Dearly Departed, and the San Antonio Express-News has declared her “indispensable”. Denise was featured locally in an SWBC commercial which was produced by Quarter Moon Productions. She also was in a commercial for Priority Health. As she continues to perform regularly in theaters, Denise is also pursuing film, television, commercial, and print work.
Denise is represented by Rome Talent Agency.
